I have a really hard time wasting paint so I always use whatever is left over from one project to start the base texture of another painting. I had a bunch just laying around and so I looked at them to see if I could “see” anything in them (like the ink blot test…which I would love to take at a shrink’s office just to see if I am as odd as I think I am) and sure enough there were shapes and my brain went to here……I saw a swoosh that reminded me of the shape of a Koi so I went with it….I saw three shapes and made them into the fish above. I left the background as it was but added a mixture of blue Unicorn Spit and Sparkle Mod Podge. Turned out okay……

Since my nephew and his family moved to Arizona, they have been posting photos and screenshots of the temperature there (which has been in the 100’s) and my sister took a few day jaunt to Nevada where it is also in the 100’s…(which would be as close to Hell as I would ever want to get) and so in this painting I saw some cactus shapes and so I went with it…..doesn’t it look hot and hellish????? I sweated buckets just painting it……

I also have one that looks like a giant hand and for the life of me that is all I see and I am struggling if I should do it or just go over the whole thing with a basecoat of paint and paint what I want….the challenge is kinda exciting…..so we will see…..

These next two photos are of paintings I did that I hated so I just painted over them and now I am in love…they are just 5×7 canvas panels but I had two old frames that will fit them perfectly!!!! How fun is that, eh?

Well back to painting….am working on a big picture of my camper!!!!
